Dr. Dr. Yasmin Thiel’s clinical perspective has been shaped by training at leading university hospitals in Germany and Switzerland, including the University Hospital Zurich, as well as further clinical experience in South Africa and Tanzania. Her dual qualifications in medicine and dentistry, including her additional certification as an oral surgeon, allow for a uniquely broad approach across function, reconstruction, and aesthetics.

Dr. Dr. Henri Thuau is one of Europe’s most experienced specialists in oral and maxillofacial surgery, with expertise spanning jaw, facial, and head and neck surgery. Trained at the University Hospital Zurich and Queen Mary’s University Hospital London, where he was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons with Gold Medal, he has spent more than three decades at the forefront of the specialty.

A clinical breadth few can match

Dr. Dr. Thuau’s expertise encompasses oral and maxillofacial surgery, head and neck oncology, reconstructive surgery, the management of orofacial tumours, and facial aesthetic procedures. He served as Clinical Lead in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the North West London Hospitals from 1997 to 2000 and at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital from 2000 to 2014.

His international leadership roles include Secretary General of the European Association for Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery (2008–2016), President of the French Association of Facial Surgeons (2016–2018), and, since 2018, President of the Examination Committee of the European Board of Oro-Maxillo-Facial Surgery. Through these roles, he has helped shape clinical and professional standards across the specialty—expertise he continues to bring to IKG–ZUG.
